hidden behind a little picture in the Control Room
A workbench, a hot iron and a box of parts. Nine modules take you from the first volt to a dub siren you build yourself, to repairing your own gear – and into the world of tubes. Read, try the simulators, pass the quizzes; your progress stays on this device.
ANALOG VIBES
Martin Zobel is a German reggae singer; Soulrise is his band. In 2017 he founded Analog Vibes in Tübingen: kits for building your own copies of classic analog studio gear – compressors and equalisers in the style of the great studio classics. This room is named after it.
The workbench is drawn, not a photo of the real workshop, and the course was written for this site – it is not an official Analog Vibes course.
BEFORE YOU START
This is a learning room, not a professional qualification. Everything here runs on a 9 V battery or a certified plug-in adapter with extra-low voltage. Never open mains-powered or tube gear yourself – lethal voltages; leave that to qualified people. Solder with ventilation, safety glasses and clean hands.
Nine modules. Each has short lessons with sources, a hands-on lab and a quiz. Finish 1–8 to unlock your workshop pass.
